JUMANGLEE
Poster design for the Penn Glee Club Spring Musical, 2024
With this poster, I aimed to create a cohesive visual look for the jukebox musical JUMANGLEE. The show features four students interacting with mythical characters in a videogame, which required me to synthesize aesthetics of fantasy, adventure, and technology. I addressed this through cartoonized silhouettes of the show’s four fantasy characters against a TV glitch background. This horizon line aimed to invoke a sense of narrative space essential to the fantasy genre, as well as the mystery of ‘not yet unlocked’ videogame characters. In the foreground, I drew inspiration from the linework and shading of adventure comic books to convey the four students, each delineated by a glitch color from the background. Made in Photoshop, I translated this design into digital and print formats for a variety of marketing materials.

Poster design for the Penn Glee Club Spring Musical, 2023
As Publicity Manager and Set Designer for the Penn Glee Club, I was tasked with several aspects of creative direction for the murder-mystery show Murder, Glee Wrote.
The poster design is inspired by the dramatic style of detective noir posters for films like Rear Window and The Third Man. Made in Photoshop and Illustrator, it features the 7 suspects of the show across the top and sides, as well as the 3 detective leads in the foreground. I translated this design into digital and print formats for a variety of marketing materials.
