This set was created in a 2-week time frame when I was a counselor at Kent Place School’s Broadway Bootcamp. I worked to execute the director’s vision of a set that could pivot between the French village and the Beast’s castle. To achieve this look, we landed on 2 hinged flats that would close to create the village and open to reveal the castle. I designed and painted both sides.

To dramatize the transformation into the castle, we opened the curtains to reveal 5 stained-glass windows. I designed and created these lightweight windows out of cardboard and tissue paper.
